The English players do not agree to participate in campaign against homophobia

the English Professional Footballers Association (PFA) did not find any player who agreed to participate in a campaign against homophobia, revealed on Friday the British newspaper The Independent.
As part of a campaign developed by the Football Association (FA), the PFA intended to make a video with the stars of the Premier League.
"Everybody thinks that the players are accessible but issues like this are not easy. Remember not long ago, even the black players did not like to deal with the racial issue," said the PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor .
"A player who is present volunteer, may fear a series of scathing reviews, "said The Independent newspaper in charge of the fight against homophobia in the FA, Peter Clayton, who decided to suspend the campaign.
If racist attitudes are the target of repressive policies without concessions, homophobic songs still appear in the stadiums.
The Welshman Gareth Thomas late 2009 became the first rugby player who revealed his homosexuality, but any player you know has taken this route since I did in the late Justin Fashanu 1990.
This revelation led to the player was the target of insults standing in the pitch, so that exiled to the U.S., where he ended up committing suicide in 1998.
Heavily criticized for insulting live to a radio announcer for his homosexuality, the England defender Rio Ferdinand, involved in the fight against racism, apologized before becoming one of the few players to denounce homophobic songs.
